Halyard / Sheet Bags
Clean up your cockpit floor. Sheets and halyards can tangle and create a trip hazard laying on the floor. A sheet or halyard bag can solve that problem.

If you are sailing your Viper, Finn, Lightning, Sunfish, Laser or other one design to win you're sailing on the edge and sometime, when you're on the edge you are going to go over. These closable cockpit make sure everything you brought out on the boat with you, your phone, camera, wallet, etc. get back to the dock with you at the end of the race or outing.
This small mesh and Sunbrella bag was custom designed for the New Viper Class one design but it will fit other boats as well. You can use it to control your halyard and/or protect your valuables in the event you capsize.
The zipper closure lets you close the bag to keep everything secure and grommets are set to the factory Viper spacing. To insure proper grommet spacing and handle variations from the factory, we require center to center measurements for the factory bag attachment hardware. We will contact you after your order is placed to walk you thru the measuring process. It's not complicated but it needs to be done right so the bag fits properly.

Our halyard/sheet bags are made with a Sunbrella back panel and a coated nylon mesh. The Sunbrella provides a little stiffness and structure to the bag while the mesh lets water drain right through. An inch and quarter elastic band on the top of the mesh panel keeps the top of the bag closed. The edges of the bag are finished with a 1 inch Sunbrella bias cut binding tape, that really makes the bag look nice.
The bag pictured is 19 1/2 inches wide and 16 1/2 inches deep and is pictures with snap buttons at the top to fasten the bag to your boat. This makes the bag removable so it can be put away at the end of the day. Mounting hardware is included if you order the bag with snap fasteners.
If you prefer to permanently mount the bag we can install grommets in place of the snap fasteners. If you choose the permanent mount option we suggest using stainless screws and washers.
